Gareth Davies travelled to Penzance Cornwall for a day aboard 'Bite Adventures' run by Robin Chapman 'Chip' to his friends, the day was on the eve of the new year and proved to be a cracker of a trip. With well over a dozen species recorded with some notable Haddock, Ling, Blonde Ray, Smoothound and many Cuckoo wrasse, Codling, etc, etc. The best fish of the day has to be EFSA England's International angler Tony Swain based in Plymouth with a hefty in shore reef Ling bumping the scales down to 15lb 8oz. The fish hit one of Tony's competition rigs which was light in design and gave a real show of strength by taking a good ten minutes to land. Coincidently a good run of red Mullet have been showing near some of Chips reef marks which will need more exploring in the New Year! I am hoping to sample more of this fine sport in the coming months so keep reading and watching for the latest news fresh from Penzance if you want to book a trip contact Rob Chapman either via face book or call 07816844674.
